Here’s just one more time when I have to say thanks to to the LA Times’ ‘go-to geek’, Geoff Boucher, for posting this story on his blog. The man, quite simply, rocks.

And I still want his job.

Thanks also have to go to those not-quite-newspeople over at The Onion, and their new (or at least new to me) ‘News Network.’ This story is absolutely hilarious thanks in part to some great parody work on Trekkers and the straight-as-an-arrow delivery by the Anderson Cooper-lookalike news anchor, ‘Glen Bannon’. Only part that went just a bit too far was referring to Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry as “a hack.” No need to trod upon the man’s grave, people, come on. Check this out:
