PTG Episode 133 is brought to you by Slacker and the Man. Yes, ‘The Man’ arrived in time to sit in during this episode, and in an effort to give you, our listeners, maximum content in one particular episode, well, we saw the one-hour mark go by and just kept right on going. This is by far the longest single episode of PTG, and it is presented to you in its entirety! Don’t let the duration daunt you from listening, however–lots of fun in this episode, so we hope you enjoy it!
In this one-hour-and-fifty minute episode we discuss:
- the most recently uploaded episode of Slacker and the Man, Episode 126, as well as some new features on their site;
- two highlights from my vacation to Portland, OR, one geeky, one not-so-geeky;
- Two recently-aired Doctor Who episodes, “The Time of Angels” and “Flesh and Stone”‘;
- Warehouse 13’s recent episode “Mild Mannered”, featuring Firefly alums Sean Maher and Jewel Staite;
- Superman #701 (Stracyznski, Barrows) from DC Comics, part 1 of the new story arc “Grounded”; and
- Steve Rogers: Super Soldier #1 (Brubaker, Englesham) from Marvel Comics.
In the midst of all that, there’s the usual banter you’ve come to expect when ‘The Man’ joins us in studio, including even MORE debate on the possibility that Chris Evans might actually be able to pull off playing Captain America. Enjoy!
