And you thought Star Trek coming to blu-ray was good news.
Sci-Fi Wire, the Sci-Fi Channel’s official news website, is reporting that Star Trek: the Experience, which beamed up Star Trek fans and guests for the final time at the Las Vegas Hilton last October, will reopen on May 8th, coinciding with the premiere of J.J. [...]

So this year as far as “geek movies” are concerned, the BIG one is, obviously, Watchmen. More than a few people out there are looking forward to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, as well. Star Trek, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, Terminator: Salvation, and G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra will get us through the summer months, [...]

For us Trek fans who have patiently followed blu-ray release news since Paramount gave up its ill-conceived jump to HD-DVD at this time last year, the wait is over.
Star Trek is coming to blu-ray. Well, some of it anyway.

Maybe it’s just me, but it looks EXACTLY the way Abrams describes it, a combination of the TOS and movie Enterprises, except it’s haphazard, like the two were thrown together crudely, not smoothly blended together. I find it disconcerting … be interesting to see it in motion during the trailer attached to “Quantum of Solace” [...]
