Driftwood Audio delays its earbud to a firmware rewrite

Second delay, first honest reason.

By Felix Albuerne Jr.

Driftwood Audio pushed its next earbud back a quarter and said the cause is a firmware rewrite of its connection handling.

Why it matters: naming the subsystem is unusual and checkable. A vague delay tells buyers nothing; a specific one can be verified against the shipping product later, which is the only kind of pre-launch statement worth anything.
