Regulator sets a 30-day window for app store appeal decisions

Short deadline, no stated penalty.

By Felix Albuerne Jr.

The regulator published guidance requiring app store operators to decide developer appeals within 30 days of filing, with a written reason.

Why it matters: the deadline is the easy part. The guidance as described sets no penalty for missing it, which makes it a reporting obligation rather than an enforcement one. Developers should expect faster form letters, not better outcomes, until a fine schedule exists.
