The Long Count is ambitious for four episodes and safe for the rest

The opening four episodes build a premise the series clearly understands and then, at the midpoint, decline to test it. What follows is competent and well made and not about anything.

The craft score is high and earned. The ambition score is low for the same reason the story score is: the show had a harder version of itself available and chose not to make it.

Rewatch value sits at five because the first half rewards a second pass and the second half does not exist for that purpose.
